About Us

We are the Burrows family. This is Chris and I on Easter with our two boys, Brenton (3) and Emmett (4 mo). You can thank these two for the creation of The Crafty Couple. When Emmett was born we agreed we both wanted to be able to work from home to spend more time with the boys and to keep them from being separated at daycare. What did we enjoy doing? What could we actually make money doing? This originally started as a business to teach people to build but blossomed into a business that has stock product and happily takes on custom orders.

Chris was a fabricator for almost a decade before we started this venture, so he knows his way around building things. His previous media was metal so we are looking forward to bringing that into the lineup as soon as we can. I grew up watching my grandpa build things and have been in a job field related to construction for the last 8 years. We both have a strong passion for building things out of basically nothing and love the challenge of tackling something we have never done before. We hope you will follow along on our adventure and join us for a community workshop or two. –Amanda

We love to be creative so we will always have items in stock that we have designed, from cutting boards to bookshelves that double as spice shelves to benches for your garden. Like what you see but want to make some changes? Let us know! We are always happy to build something just for you. Change the color, change the size, or start from scratch.

Found a project on Pinterest but don’t have the tools and/or the confidence to get started? We are here to help! If you are looking for more time and more hands on learning then book some private lessons. Just have an afternoon to build? Join us for a community workshop and build something in a day. You can also book a build party for you and your friends or family.
